I just saw this image and article on the DrudgeReport and then read the article on the LA Times (yuck) web site. This guy is over 7 ft tall and 350 lbs. I can’t even see how an normal heavyweight could reach this guys head, let alone knock him out. OMG.
Mostly when it comes to TV and Movies anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a SciFi fan. However, two shows really have me hooked and I find it interesting that they both have lead characters named Jack. These shows are 24 and Lost. Both of these shows have a way of drawing you more every week and leave you in suspense waiting for the next episode. I didn’t watch either one in their opening seasons but when I watched Lost on DVD, I lost a whole weekend glued to the TV. I really like Fox’s approach of airing a whole season uninteruped by re-runs as a way to grab the viewer and keep them loyal.
Yeah, right like I’ll find free time ;). Well anyway I saw this over at boing boing and followed the link to the source at the Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Center which has a lot of other cool stuff. I can remember getting a kit back in the ’70s that was a model of the LEM from Apollo 11. I loved making models and was a diehard 1/35 WWII model maker. Making a model out of paper isn’t the easiest thing to do and I though it was pretty cool when I was 7. So I think this is something I might do with my kids although I don’t think that can relate to how new and exciting the whole moon landing thing was 40 years ago. In fact, I still think that from a shock and awe perspective nothing has ever exceeded watching the those Saturn 5 launches and waiting up untill midnight to watch Neil Armstrong walk on the moon with my parents in 1969. The only thing that has come close is watching it on IMAX. < Link>
I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there’s a prize at stake. I occasionally get lost inside buildings and can’t find the exit. I need food badly. What Video Game Character Are You?
If I wasn’t a Gauntlet Adventurer I would be …
I am Pacman.
I am an aggressive sort of personality, out to get what I can, when I can. I prefer to avoid confrontation, but sometimes when it’s called for, I can be a powerful character. I tend to be afflicted with munchies constantly. What Video Game Character Are You?
I’m telling you there can’t be many (or any) interstate highways as bad as East or Westbound Route 80 in New Jersey. If the 15 mile long parking lot from Mt Olive to Parsippany doesn’t drive you to drink, the ruts and potholes which are bigger than many small towns will rattle your bones. In many spots you can’t even change lanes without denting a wheel or throwing out your alignment. Add to this that nearly everyday some asshole causes a 2-5 car accident and snarls traffic for as far as the eye can see. Some days I just want to give it all up and live in the woods or a double-wide. Not really, but almost!!
