AMD & HP

The AMD & HP had their party at Anthem – Boston.   I won a pretty decent AMD processor.   It was a great party good food, but I heard through the grapevine that the intel party was just a bit better the night before.

Where I spent my summer vacation

This is the Technical Learning Center for the Development and Connected Systems groups.   There are three (3) TLC’s One for Messaging and Collaboration, One for Servers and Systems, and One for Connected systems.   Each TLC has staff and boths able to answer many of the most technical questions like how does a hands free toilet work ;-)

Need a vendor for a Microsoft technology?  If you don’t see them here they aren’t on the map yet.

TechEd’s most popular session

Some blokes showed that they never let DEV320 Get in the way of football. World cup rules!

The convention center had about 10 TVs set up around the convention center showing FIFO World Cup.   Always a crowd and always a smile (or grimace) depending upon who scored…  Great to see the Convention Center showing this event!

TFS Extensibility

The demo of extending TFS (Team Foundation Server) showed just how much design went into making the product easy to modify. Hopefull this will spur the development of all types of add-ins.  Development leads and PMs should look at how simple it is to modify the existing project creation templates to add custom requirements to their project tasks and workflow.
